About Jetha
Hello! I’m Jetha
she/her
I’m a clinical social worker & full-spectrum birthworker.
In my work, I offer counseling, coaching, witnessing, mentorship during times of change and initiation.
My Journey
My name was given to me by my parents. During pregnancy, they adapted it from author Jethro Kloss while reading his book, Back to Eden. A classic text on holistic health, I believe their intention towards wellness permeated my gestation and left a lasting imprint on my own life’s purpose.
Raised in New York City and Colorado, I am grateful for a life that has afforded me generous experience navigating both urban and rural landscapes, both personally and professionally.
Many professional and personal experiences have brought me here: program manager with school-age kids in community centers in Brooklyn, NY; counseling teen moms with their babies in Boston, MA; therapist for homeless youth in Boulder, CO; operations manager for a small tech firm; teaching meditation to youth in prison; and the personal experiences that have shaped my being: the loss of a parent to cancer, the loss of my best friend to cancer, depression and anxiety, the practice of animism, being Jewish and Buddhist. I continue to draw upon my professional and personal experiences when working with my clients.
I was initiated in assisting and nurturing others inside of reproductive health through the unexpected opportunity of tending my best friend in her birth journey. In addition, my own abortion, pregnancies, birth, and postpartum experiences largely impacted my desire to become a birthworker and now, as a maternal mental health clinician.
My work strives to be in an awakened relationship with what is, to amplify the feminine and to harmonize the paradox of living. Let’s prioritize our care and wellness — our families, our communities, our world depend on it.
“We are each other’s harvest; we are each other’s business; we are each other’s magnitude and bond.”
